Most of us have heard of the book by Shel Silverstein called 'The Giving Tree'. It's a fantastic book about a tree that gives and gives and gives and even when it thinks it has nothing left to give, it still finds a way to give. I love this book and think that it sends a good message to kids.Apparently, they read this in Nicki's class and then had to complete this worksheet. She completed the phrase: "I love my tree! It gives me..." CARS
Never in a million years would've seen that one coming! LMAO!!!! In fact, she made a point to tell me that she drew a Hot Wheels car, with a red flame on the side, covered in leaves!!!!!!
I tell ya'... The phrase, 'A penny for your thoughts', must have come about as a result of the child brain. You never really know what crazy ideas are bouncing around up there! LOL!

She is so funny!! Aurora did something similar at school, they had to draw a picture and tell a story and the teacher wrote down what they said. Aurora's said "I am happy when we go to Walmart" LOL! I need to check that book out!
