This Time of Year...

I love cooking things that we have just around the holidays... for example... this morning, Jason, Nicki and I made 'monkey bread', something that my Mom usually made for us on Christmas morning (but since Jason's tradition was to have cresent-wrapped little smokies on Christmas morning, I try to carry that on for him). So, the three of us participated (which was VERY nice). And it turned out great... and yummy!

Yesterday, after Nicki got home from school, the three of us got in the kitchen together and made a pumpkin roll! It was my first time to ever made a 'rolled' dessert and it turned out great!!!!

The weather has been pretty mild, even though it is the end of November (although 'mild', it still gets in the 20's-30's in the morning and afternoon highs between 55 and 65) and I told Jason that Nicki really needs a ski mask...
but that I just couldn't imagine her in a real ski mask (the kind that criminals wear in the movies). While we were at the store earlier in the day, we were walking by the toddler clothes (which I ALWAYS have to look at 'just because'), and saw a ski mask that I knew would be perfect for her! LOL It's a little kitty ski mask and Nicki loves it so much, she's been wearing it all around the house this morning! LOL

Yummy! I had never had that monkey bread stuff before until my friend made it last month! So good. :)
Nikki looks cute in that kitty ski mask! Too bad Jocelyn feels claustraphobic in stuff like that b/c I bet it is WARM! :)
