So, I know it's a little after-the-fact, but I'll get to that in the next post! lol But Halloween in our neighborhood is AWESOME!!!! The weather was absolutely gorgeous, tons of people decorated lawns and the people across the street from us had loud, spooky music blaring. It was probably one of the neatest Halloweens for us, so far! Lots of kids showed up... everyone was polite... there was just a great buzz in the air!!!!Nicki was a butterfly, but because we had her dressed all in black, I got her some glow in the dark bracelets and decorated the stuffing out of her! LOL She loved it!
The best house had to be the 'candy pipe' house! LOL Jason took Nicki around trick-or-treating while I handed candy out to the kiddos who came by! He told me about this house that was a two story which a room over the garage which was recessed a bit. They had painted a PVC pipe black, so that you couldn't see it and when Nicki walked up to the house, a few pieces of candy fell out of the pipe... She was like... 'woah!' So, Jason caught on to what was going on, although Nicki didn't... so she was all paranoid, looking around trying to figure out where the candy had come from. He finally convinced her to go pick up the candy on the ground and as soon as she timidly bent down to pick it up, a few more pieces would fall down and freak her out some more!
When Nicki got done going around the block, she handed out candy to the kids who came by! It was great! She loved doing that as much, if not more, than going trick-or-treating herself!!! The neighborhood was alive with fun and the atmosphere was so neat! I can't wait 'til next year!
