We've got Green Thumbs!

Well, MAYBE we have green thumbs!!! Nicki and I went down to Home Depot this morning and bought some plants for the front yard. She still misses Texas a lot and so I asked her what would make it seem more like 'home' and she said she needed 'more green!' I don't blame her... and besides, we had 4 open bubble drip stations that were watering where plants USED to live and now they were just watering the rocks -- so this seemed like a GREAT idea! We planted, a Gulf Stream Nandina, Heavenly Bamboo (just a misnomer... not really related to bamboo), McKay's White and a Cranberry Cotoneaster (not a typo-- only has one 't' in the 'coton' part). So, I have included a picture of what the yard looks like today and I WAS going to add a picture of when we first moved in, but honestly, because everything just got planted today and are so small... you really couldn't tell a difference! I hope to take another picture NEXT YEAR and hopefully, the plants will be nice and big and add a lot of color to the 'yard'-- that is, if the wind and the bunnies don't take care of the plants first!
