Attack of the Goomba's!!!!

This, cute little guy is called a 'Goomba', he is one of the characters in the Mario video game series. All you gotta do is hop on their heads and *poof* -- done! This, particular Goomba, is Nicki's little buddy.So, last night at about 1:30 A.M., I hear Nicki freaking out in her room. I rush in there not knowing what was happening and she said she'd had a really bad dream... I warn you... this dream is REALLY messed up...

She said that it started out by some Goombas locking her in her room and Jason and I banging on the door to get them to open it. While she was trapped inside, there was a 'cannibal' who was holding her by her feet and her stuffed snake (aptly named 'Snake') said, 'I'm going to eat you!' At that point, she woke up in tears, screamed and was totally freaked out.

I came in and was trying to console her and told her... 'The cool thing about Goombas, is all you have to do is hop on their heads and it'll take care of 'em.' She responded with, 'Mom, I know that! But my brain just couldn't think of that fast enough!' LOL Poor girl, she was really shaken up over this, so I laid there with her for a few more minutes. She also told me, during that time, that her dreamcatcher isn't working. I told her with as crazy a dream as that one was, that it was bound to slip past the catcher... it was just so crazy! Wow... how in the world did a Goomba, Snake and Cannibal make it into her head?!!! Absolutely crazy! She did get back to sleep and apparently slept well the rest of the night... Thankfully, because she has her first field trip in Mrs. Fox's class today! Can't wait to find out how it went! I'll be sure to post about it!
